A brand new fine silver and fused glass piece. Finally!
So I have buckled down and finished one of the precious metal clay rings I have been working on for far too long.
I remade the same half circle design that I have kept for myself a couple of weeks ago. This new one has several shades of orange as the fused glass focal point.

I try to create crisp edges and clear shapes in many of my pieces by cold working the glass after the fusing process. Cold working is a time consuming process in which the glass is sanded with consecutively finer and finer grid until it is shaped and the glass is completely smooth.
Many of the pendants, brooches and earrings have 99.9% pure silver inclusions and all of the wire and bails I use are sterling silver.
